are facing decline due to modernization and the crisis of cultural transmission. This study focuses on how animation and film can enhance public understanding of Lanyu culture and explores the effectiveness of these two media in cultural dissemination. Animation, with its creative freedom and diverse styles, can enhance cultural appeal, while live-action film conveys cultural context intuitively through realism, deeply portraying the cultural background to evoke audience resonance. By comparing the differences in emotional responses and the advantages and limitations of both media in cultural cognition, this study aims to provide new perspectives for cultural preservation and promotion, deepen societal respect and awareness of Lanyu’s weaving culture, and fulfill the mission of cultural sustainability.
