Abstract

This study evaluates the development of research publications on the blue economy in the tourism industry context. Our goal is to provide an initial overview of reference sources for academics interested in conducting research mapping in this field, with the potential to significantly impact their work. We use several bibliometric indicators to analyze research publications related to the blue economy in tourism in the Scopus database over the past 10 years. Research trends, influential authors, main themes, and developing concepts are analyzed using Vosviewer software, allowing us to identify citation patterns, collaborations between authors, and prominent concepts related to the research topic. The results of this study provide comprehensive insight into the dynamics of research in this field and offer promising suggestions for future research.
